Zwischen zarter Linie und schützender Hülle erkundet Salome Jokhadze (sie/ihr) das Terrain des Geschichtenerzählens und die Spuren des kollektiven Gedächtnisses. Ihre Keramik nistet sich in die Architektur der Halle ein, bleibt zugleich verletzlich und widerständig. Zähne tragen Erinnerungen in sich: an Schmerz, Verlust und Veränderung, aber auch an Stärke und Resilienz. Schutz zeigt sich in Form von Rüstungen und Symbolen, während Augen als universelles Zeichen für Identität und Wahrnehmung wirken. In «Table of 3 (Million)» verweist Salome auf ihre Familie ebenso wie auf die drei Millionen Menschen Georgiens. Hunderte Keramikzähne verwandeln Tisch und Stühle in ein Denkmal für Vorfahren und deren Kämpfe um die Unabhängigkeit des Landes.
Between delicate line and protective shell, Salome Jokhadze (she/her) explores the terrain of storytelling and the traces of collective memory. Her ceramics nestle into the architecture of the hall, remaining at once vulnerable and defiant. Teeth carry memories within them: of pain, loss, and transformation, but also of strength and resilience. Protection appears in the form of armour and symbols, while eyes act as a universal sign of identity and perception. In «Table of 3 (Million)», Salome refers both to her own family and to the three million people of Georgia. Hundreds of ceramic teeth transform the table and chairs into a monument to ancestors and their struggles for the country’s independence.
