Marc Hansjörg Lieberherr is a conceptual artist based in St. Gallen. Working across a diverse range of media including printmaking, photography, sculpture, and spatial design, Lieberherr is best known for combining conceptual art with scenographic and spatial practices. His interdisciplinary approach investigates social, political, individual, and philosophical questions through immersive, site-responsive concepts that extend across physical and perceptual space.
Lieberherr’s artistic practice is characterized by the translation of abstract and often intangible ideas into visual and spatial experiences. His works frequently explore the tensions between personal perception and collective structures, employing scenographic strategies to create environments that encourage reflection and critical engagement. Through material experimentation and conceptual layering, Lieberherr develops installations and spatial narratives that challenge conventional modes of representation.
